Adriana Lima, a Brazilian Model and a Victoria Secret’s Angel appears on a Pirelli Calendar and highlights her five month old baby bump. She is the first super model to have ever done this in a highly coveted shoot and for a publication that has a very limited distribution!

Super models and actresses who have appeared on the Pirelli Calendar definitely score tens in the beauty and sexiness meter. Most of the time, they appear nude on the calendar  but Mc Curry, the acclaimed photojournalist who did the shoot for Adriana Lima in Brazil says that he wants the calendar to be a calendar for the soul. He does this by defying the pattern established by previous models and photographers who have worked on the calendar. He says he wants to portray women who are sexy without being naked. He was able to achieve this with his work on the 2013 calendar with Adriana.

The Pirelli Calendar is famous for its limited distribution. It is only given to selected Pirelli customers and several celebrity VIPs every year.

Consistently slammed about her weight and figure, Kate Upton responded by stating; “I’m not going to starve just to be thin. I want to enjoy life and I can’t if I’m not eating and miserable.”  Having stated this, she also posted on her site that because things snowballed over the past week, her site has grown tremendously and she’s acknowledging the need for some changes. To name one, she will no longer be posting “Starving Tips Of The Day” to embrace the new found responsibility.

Kate is admired for the stand she took against self harm. No one needs to starve or suffer for their career because in the long run, you won’t be able to enjoy all the success you’ve accomplished if you feel like dying  every other day with what you’re doing to yourself.

Talented singer Lana del Rey has been casted to become H&M’s face for their autumn/winter collection.

Her photos and the look she’s trending for the season has been unveiled and she definitely pulls off the L.A. mood that inspired the season’s collection.

Lana who’s debut album was released earlier this year has transitioned and has been welcomed in the fashion and modeling industry. She has appeared in Vogue’s March 2012 issue and had a Mulberry bag named after her shortly after.

H&M still has a lot in store for everyone who’s hooked on the brand. More collaboration with  different personalities and models are on the table too for more powerful campaigns.  But for now, let’s adore Lana in her pale pink angora jumper, micro shorts, and her beehive hairstyle.

Lanvin Paris has decided to use real people to model for their upcoming autumn/winter collection. So far, there are only two photos that have been released for their campaign and both were shot by Steven Meisel. These photos shows an 82 year old Jacquie “Tajah” Murdock posing in a lilac dress.

Her name doesn’t ring a bell but with internet and some research, we were able to find out a few things about her. Here are some of them;

1. She is a dancer. Her dancer name is Tajah.
2. She has collected three degrees from NYU.
3. She is stopped on the streets by people who wants to have a photo taken with her.
4. She appeared in Ari Choen’s Advanced Style.
5. Her participation in a high-fashion campaign is something she has seen coming for her.

The campaign for Lanvin Paris was developed by House + Holme. It’s the creative agency that is headed by Ronnie Newhouse and Stephen Wolstensholme. Other details of the campaign are from the works of legends; Pat McGrath for make-up, Guido Pala is responsible for hair, and Mary Howard for set designs. With their collaboration, there is no doubt that they have come up with stellar results and are eagerly waiting to unveil it to public.

Alber Elbaz, Creative Director for Lanvin Paris is responsible for casting Murdock. He has been completely blown away by the 82 year old woman with her enviable bone structure and unique style. He considers her a perfect fit for the project!

Seems like publishing a book when you’re a celebrity or a super model is no longer uncommon. Kate Moss is doing the same thing and her book is set to come out in November this year. Sadly though, it’s not a biography or a memoir like what Miley Cyrus released when she was 15.  Instead, it’s a coffee table tome which features her 20 years of hard work in the industry.

Kate has agreed to have Rizzoli as the publisher of the book. Along with the publishing company, she worked with her former flame Jefferson Hack who’s also the editor for Dazed and Confused. Jess Hallet, her close friend and casting director is also responsible for this project. The book features photos of Kate taken by the likes of Hedi Slimane, Juergen Teller, Terry Richardson, Mario Testino and Karl Lagerfeld. Having a copy of the book will  show anyone Kate’s evolution in the industry to the icon she is today and it does not fail to amaze and inspire aspiring super models of this day and age.

Lea Michelle, a talented singer and actress takes the lead on Candie’s Fall Campaign Ad. She looks absolutely beautiful in every outfit that was picked for her. The red floral printed dress, the trench coat, the yellow top and the aquamarine skirt she had on are just several of the must have pieces from Candie’s colorful collection. It’s definitely something different from the outfits you see her wear in Glee.  

With Candie’s style and platform, Lea Michelle is a perfect fit for this campaign. She makes it work!

Another lovely lady is photographed on the cover of Vogue Magazine! Emma Stone takes the pages of Vogue for its August 2012 edition.

During her interview, she says that she encountered a panic attack when she was eight years old and it took a lot for her to recover from the experience. At a young age, she got sick a lot and was not so confident around people. She also states that her mom couldn’t put notes in her lunch because it would make her miss her and would desire to come home in the middle of the day. To help her get through this, she underwent therapy. Things then started to improve for her.

Emma Stone is now living in NYC with her boyfriend and co-star in Spiderman, Andrew Garfield. She says that it would make her physically ill if she couldn’t walk around NYC without being followed by her fans or the media. She wants NYC to be liveable for her. Australian model, Andrej Pejic is known all over the world for what he has accomplished in the fashion and modeling industry. Since closing a fashion show in 2010, he has appeared in numerous covers and other shows. Now, even amidst all the controversy about his gender, Andrej is set to take his career to a new level by having his own reality show.

The airdate for his show has not been finalized but it is already certain that it will take place in New York and that his mother will also be a part of it.

Mila Kunis was picked for this project in January because of her stellar performance in the Black Swan which has sparked the imagination of executives in Dior.

Homebase has confirmed the fact that their sales for Duracoat’s Flame and Show Stopper have been raised to 40% since last year. The reason? Their women customers are purchasing the paint to copy the Louboutin trademark. A customer confesses on the fact that she painted her shoes and left it to dry over night. It was ready to wear the next day. She wore this pair of shoes to a wedding and she just received compliments from everyone but she didn’t have the courage to admit the fact that she was wearing fakes!
