Celebrities have access to a variety of dresses and countless designs from world renowned designers. But it happens that some celebrities still end up wearing something a fellow star has already worn in last month’s special event or in last year’s awarding ceremony.
This incident in a celebrity’s life happens for three reasons. Know what they are!
1. It’s the fact that some high profile personalities do not keep tabs on what has been worn on the red carpet. Well on and off the red carpet, I should say! Some designer pieces can be seen while eating in a fancy restaurant or while on the street. So, there are more than a million pieces to keep track of. But celebrities should take note that if they’ve been seen wearing something that was already worn by someone in a different place for a different event, their photos are going to be published in magazines and in cyberspace!
Fans, critics would like to compare and come up with a heated poll on who wore it better?
2. Publicity stunt
So they know that people will judge on who wore the outfit better, that’s why they show up to places where papparazzis are all hyped up, wearing an outfit that’s supposed to be outdated! The press would swarm all over this and they would want to talk about their clothing choices for the rest of the night. They came looking the way they do because they want to be talked about. And if they pull it off, what’s supposed to be a five minute discussion balloons into a week long (or longer) gossip attraction!
Celebrities who enjoy this type of stunt would be glued on the who wore it better polls just to be sure that they looked better!
3. Lack of Fashion Advice
For some celebrities, they don’t get enough fashion advice. Sometimes, they step out wearing something they just grabbed from their closets. They picked it simply because they thought that it was the perfect outfit to wear at that moment. They didn’t even stop to consider the fact that they could be spotted, photographed, and definitely be talked about for their choice of clothing.
Tread wisely, celebrities! Sometimes, outrageous things can be said about your outfits and more so if you’re seen wearing something that was already featured long before!
