LV Partners with Yayoi Kusama
Yves Carcelle, Louis Vuitton’s President and CEO says that they have partnered with Yayoi Kusama to launch a collection that can be expected in the market on July 10. This is to be followed by a second collection which is targeted to be released in October.
Kusama is an 82 year old Japanese designer who is known for her infinity paintings which are made up of dots. Both parties are happy with this collaboration as they’re certain that they will be releasing something anyone can call iconic.
Louis Vuitton stresses out the fact that this collaboration is not a marketing strategy. Instead, this team-up is to showcase a cultural collision; one that highlights the strength of Kusama and the strength of Louis Vuitton.
