Composite Face-Lift Gains Popularity

Composite Face-Lift is the newest plastic surgery procedure that is gaining popularity. It addresses the “stretched face” problem of traditional face-lift treatment by preserving the fat around the eyes.

Dr. Sam T. Hamra is the Dallas plastic surgeon who created the technique and has been teaching it to other plastic surgeons around the country.

Dr. Hamra explains “Targeting the deep muscles under the skin, the lower lid and the cheek are pulled in a vertically upward movement, while skin and fat that’s apt to sag at the neckline is lifted upward and outward at the same time”.

Despite the natural-looking result, Dr. Hamra refuses to perform the procedure to women in their 30s. He also advises people to do research when planning to have the Composite Face-Lift operation.

Simple Skincare Routine To Get A Glow

Believe it or not, a simple skincare routine can slow down the aging of facial skin and bring back its glow. Serious medical skin conditions aside, a flawless face can be achieved in a 10-minute daily routine that only involves four steps: cleaning, moisturizing, retinoid application and hydrating.

To maintain smoothness and to avoid over-drying of skin, use gentle cleansers. They remove products and oil while also help skin retain needed moisture.

After cleansing, slather on a facial moisturizer or lotion to face and neck. Use hypo-allergenic types that are also oil-free and fragrance-free. The smoothing and sun-protecting qualities of moisturizers make them one of the most important beauty essentials of supermodels.

Retinoids help decrease fine lines and wrinkles and also treat skin conditions like acne and psoriasis. Retinoid creams are most effective when applied in a pea-size amount three times a week on face and once or twice a week under the eyes to remove dark circles.

Toners also prevent redness and flaking. When the skin is drier (like in the winter), apply the toner after the retinoid cream.

Cleaning is usually done after 3 minutes, moisturizing at 2 minutes, retinoid application at 3 minutes, and hydrating at 2 minutes. So basically, a daily 10-minute facial care routine before bedtime is all it takes to achieve a glow.

Kardashian Christmas Date-Shopping

Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Scott Disick was spotted Christmas shopping around in Polacheck’s Jewelers in Calabasas, California on December 21, 2010.

Awww, all those sweet things you can do when you have a lover during the holiday…

Christmas is the month of sales and discounts. It would totally suck if you cannot visit the malls for some shopping.

With a lover around, you are guaranteed to have a bodyguard (and/or a fashion critic) that follows you as you hunt for discounted items left and right. After a tedious day of shopping, you can also invite your romantic buddy to dine at your favorite restaurant.

Why Find Love On Christmas? Read on.

An Alliance to Advocate for Model Rights?

Sara Ziff may be the superheroine that the fashion world is waiting for!

After letting the world know the unglamorous and often shameful working conditions models face these days in her documentary Picture Me, the model-turned-filmmaker is now working to form an alliance that will advocate for models’ rights.

Through the assistance of Fordham’s Fashion Law Institute, Sara Ziff hopes to establish a “Model Alliance” that will help assert for better working conditions of models and create a code of conduct for the fashion industry.

In an interview, the fashion heroine lenghtily explains her cause:

“The modeling industry is essentially unregulated. As independent contractors, models don’t have the same basic workplace protection as a lot of other industries do. They don’t have workmen’s compensation. They often don’t have access to affordable health coverage. There are no provisions for rest and meal breaks (during work hours). There is little recourse for issues of sexual harassment and sexual abuse. And a lot of modeling agencies have a huge amount of power over international girls because they sponsor their visas.”

If successfully created, the Model Alliance  will most likely become the protector of models against abusive agencies. At this moment though, Sara Ziff is still at the process of setting up a clinic for models to come in and discuss what they would most need from a “Model Alliance”.

Bless her heart!

Johnny Deep Is Flirting With A Model On Pirates’ Set

Good-ole Johnny Deep has a 12-year relationship with Vanessa Paradis, but rumors are now circulating that the Hollywood heartthrob is flirting with a sexy model on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The 19-year old model is said to have been hired by the wardrobe department as  a fit model for the mermaids’ costumes. Her name is Kristen Stephenson Pino and she reveals:

“It was one-on-one. I was in there for a few hours, and that’s, like, everyone’s ideal lover boy. He’s just the whole package!

“I was like, ‘I’ll take you and Orlando Bloom! That’s the only way you can get me.’

“He starts laughing and goes, ‘Honey, no, no no, I don’t share with anybody. You either get me or me, and that’s it.’”

No offense meant on the model, but flirting is always ONLY testing the water. If you respond to flirting or teasing, then you might have a shot at love (or lust) sooner. But basically, that’s just it.

Apparently, Erin Wasson Needs No Clothes To Model Jewelry

Blond fashion model Erin Wasson who, according to her website, is “a classic beauty who embodies the modern female ideal” is rumored to be launching another collection of her Low Luv jewelry line. She models some of the the jewelry pieces herself, unclothed and madeup like Nefertiti.

Nude, Erin Wasson’s Spring/Holiday collection includes hammered rings, chandelier earrings, and crosses studded with rough crystals and black agates – those designs that the she finds “interesting and powerful.”

The shots were taken by photographer Paola Kudacki who reflects nothing but praises for the gorgeous model.

“Erin has an incredible body and face, and she understands better than anyone the idea behind her designs. The clothes were not necessary!

…Once the music references start popping up, I wanted to portrait her like a goddess, like Nefertiti.”

See, that’s one of the benefits of being a fashion photographer. You are mostly focused on nothing but ethereal beauty and sometimes, you can make these beauties do things that satisfy your fantasies.

Calling All Asexuals!

Kim Kardashian announces staying “asexual” for the whole 2011. She says on the Rachel Roy Show “I want to try to be single my whole year of being 30.”

I don’t know if this is possible for a woman like her who, basically, has established her name using her sex appeal.

But are you an asexual, for real?

The Daily Mirror is looking to interview single men and women for a feature on platonic/celibate relationships in the UK. The interview is over the phone. Interviewees will receive a fee of £100 plus expenses.

If you would like to take part, email to:

Gayle King Makes Oprah Cry!

“Tissue please!” Oprah Winfrey shouted as she was unable to control her tears from falling during an interview with Barbara Walters. Why, she’s the “Queen of Talk” and she should know how to remain poised despite an emotional encounter. But she failed.

The reason for her crying was just a simple inquiry about her relationship with bestfriend Gayle King. The two have been inseparable for a very long time, so inseparable that people have started to doubt Oprah’s sexuality.

“She is… the mother I never had. She is… the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don’t know a better person,” was her emotional response.

So is she gay?

Her frustrated reply was “I’m not a lesbian… I’m not even kind of a lesbian.”
