Tween Idol Justin Bieber Interview Details

Tween idol Justin Bieber sits down for an interview with Details. Find out some secrets of this overnight singing sensation including his dream girl, personal style, and his attitude as a tween pop star!

The 15 year-old Canadian pop/R&B singer started his career at a local singing competition in Ontario when he was 12. In 2007, his mother began posting his video performances on YouTube and was soon discovered by a Toronto-based company who assisted him with producing, editing and promoting his videos. He was recognized by singer Chris Brown for his rendition of "With You."

When a former marketing executive discovered his videos, he was invited to meet R&B singer/songwriter Usher who later gave him an audition at Island Records in October 2008. Soon enough, Justin Bieber became known as Usher protégé. "One Time" and "One Less Lonely Girl" are two of his hit songs currently rocking the international scene.

What are the first songs you loved?
"God Is Bigger Than the Boogie Man' from VeggieTales. And when I was, like, 7 or 6, Boyz II Men's 'On Bended Knee.' My mom used to play the album over and over. I would go to my bedroom and try to do the vocal acrobatics."

You're single now, but you have dated, right?
"I've had girlfriends - nothing really, really serious, but I've had girlfriends. My first was when I was, like, 12 or 13. A month later, we broke up. I had that little stomach pain for a couple of days, but then I was cool. Now I'm waiting for Beyoncé to call."

Your fans show up to your shows wearing the same American Apparel hoodie you wore in your "One Time" video. Are you cultivating a style?
"I'm just a kid that wakes up like everyone else and just puts clothes on - like a hoodie and jeans and some fresh kicks, Supras or high-tops."

What's up with the mop-top hairdo?
"I think the girls like it, so I'm going to let it stick around for a while. I really don't think anyone's ever done this kind of thing with their hair: I just wake up, blow-dry it, and just shake it. And continue to shake it throughout the day."

I've heard that some of the teens flash you their bras(?)
"I mean, I don't mind it. Just kidding - it's not something that's cool for them to do. There was this one girl in Seattle - I didn't even see her - she runs at me, tries to give me a hug and tackles me. It was really aggressive and scary."

How do you feel about the whole teen-pop scene?
"I think some of it is corny, but that's just me. I just think that if you're a musical artist you should do something that appeals to all ages. I mean, I have songs that are about love, but I have songs that are about everyday life and stuff that people can relate to. When I was very young my parents split up, and that was hard on me. So I have a song that talks about that. I want to have a career, not just a hit."

Top-Earning Tweens Of Hollywood

If there's a list for the top-earning models of the world, there should also be a list for tween talent who, in America alone, have influenced 20 million kids (8-12 years old) to spend $51 billion of their own money and urge their parents to spend $150 billion more every year.

Last year, the top-earning tweens of Hollywood were listed by Forbes according to their income from June 1, 2007 to June 1 2008.

Barely legal, these tween stars have quiet made an earning than most models and actors out there. And though they have passed the 8-14 age bracket to be considered tweens, most of their work still "caters to advertiser-beloved tween set."

Top-Earning Tweens Of Hollywood:

1. Miley Cyrus - $25 Million. This 16-year old star earned much of her popularity from Disney's Hanna Montana series. Thanks to that show, she has already sold millions of CDs, had a sold-out concert tour, and bagged movie projects. Miley is definitely a pro when it comes to banking millions. Can you blame her is she starts dressing like grown-up now?

1. Daniel Radcliffe - $25 Million. Like Miley, this 19-year old British star has earned much of his income after the success of his Harry Potter film series. For the last two parts of the series due to be released, it was reported that Daniel has signed an estimated $50 million contract. He also did BBC's TV movie My Boy Jack and the Broadway show Equus.

3. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - $15 Million. Now at 22, these petite twins who play Michelle Tanner in popular sitcom Full House still have numerous television programs, films, and commercial endorsements.

4. Jonas Brothers - $12 Million. These three singing brothers - Kevin, Joe, and Nick - have earned $9 million from concert tours, $3 million from CDs, and merchandise and television deals.

5. Zac Efron - $5.8 Million. From High School Musical and High School Musical 3, the 21-year old tween heartthrob also starred in the successful movies Hairspray, Seventeen Again, and Me and Orson Welles.

6. Ashley Tisdale - $5.5 Million. This 23-year old actress has starred in High School Musical 3 as Vanessa Hudgen's rival. She also did voice work for Disney's Phineas and Ferb. She's an endorser of Red by Marc Ecko.

7. Emma Watson - $5.5 Million. This lovely English young star, now at 19, stars with Daniel Radcliffe in the Harry Potter series. She's Karl Lagerfeld muse and still does photo shoots for Chanel.

8. Hilary Duff - $5 Million. Before Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff once ruled the Disney world as Lizzie McGuire. Though not as popular now in her 20s, Hilary Duff has become a mature star with her roles in indie films Greta, Safety Class and War, Inc.

9. Rupert Grint - $5 Million. Playing Ron Weasley, this 20-year old was Harry Potter and Herminone's friend in Harry Potter films. Thanks to the money he earned, he has already made his childhood dream came to reality - he purchased an ice-cream van.

10. Vanessa Anne Hudgens - $3.2 Million. Aside from High School Musical films, she has also released two albums as a solo music artist and has become the face of Neutrogena skin products and Marc Ecko sneakers. She has two upcoming films Beastly in 2010, and Sucker Punch! in 2011.
