Pirate Provocateur Ad Campaign

Lookie what we got in here. Peter Paul Rubens' Rape of the Daughters of Leucippus painting? No. It's actually one of the photos from Pirate Provocateur, an ad campaign for giant lingerie company Agent Provocateur with top fashion models Helena Christensen and Alice Dellal, and brand founder, Joe Corre.

While critics say that the fashion advertising campaign leaves very little to the imagination, it's undeniably one of those pics that you get to glance at, tries to ignore for a moment, and then look closely for details.

So why pirates?

"Pirates is very popular with us because they are outlaws and in a way, Agent Provocateur is a brand which was started independently and carved its own path through the fashion industry. In a sense, it doesn't necessarily obey the rules of retail marketing and appeals to the inner outlaw of people. It looks like such a romp," says lingerie company's founder Joe Corre.
