Lindsay Lohan Opens Up On Drug & Alcohol Addiction

"Partying so hard simply isn't worth it. Life is worth living and there is so much to do and experience, it's wonderful." - Lindsay Lohan

Dubbed as "Hollywood's Wild Child" Lindsay Lohan is no doubt one of the most controversial actress of her generation. Barely 23 years old, her life has already been well-documented through the eyes of the scrutinizing media which particularly follows her family troubles, drug and alcohol addiction, wild partying, and bisexual love affair with Samantha Ronson.

The world sighed at the fate of this once adorable child star who grow up to become one of the most beautiful actress in Hollywood. If not for her drug and alcohol addiction, career might have become brighter for her.

Lindsay Lohan recently did an interview with The Sun. If this wild child is indeed telling the truth, redemption has finally come for her. Who knows if she will rise up to become one of Hollywood's greatest actress in say, 10 years? After all, she's barely 23...

"When my father was going public, that's when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn't the answer to my problems. People need to know that. I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances. Now I'm in a place where I don't need to use anything and I can feel emotions because I choose to. I learnt from my mistakes and I'm now healthy and happier. I never want to be close to losing everything I worked for and aspired to have my whole life. Mind-altering substances are so dangerous. If I can teach others, especially teens, by sharing my experiences, then that's what I will continue to do. I've made some dreadful mistakes but learned from them - that has probably saved my life."

"I went to rehab three times. The first time I checked myself in because I had taken Ambien. It's a sleeping aid but it makes you hallucinate. I'd run a bath and fallen asleep on the floor and the bath had overflowed. When I woke up I was so scared, I called my therapist and said, 'Can I just go somewhere for a month? I'm around bad people and I need to take care of myself'. I was terrified, so I put myself in. There was a point when I didn't know how to say 'No' and I was trying to please everyone. I was doing pop and making films. I was young and thought I could go out, have fun, then go on set and record. I ran myself down and I lost track of who I was."

Lindsay Lohan has pleaded guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence in 2007. She has been jailed for a day and has been ordered to complete an alcohol education program.

Now, Lindsay Lohan still booze but she says it's not for masking troubles anymore but for "social obligations." She has recently hosted a Haiti fundraiser event in London.

"I'm allowed to drink now but I know my limits. There are certain situations where I have obligations. There's no reason to (drink) because I don't want to feel like s*it in the morning. The thing is, at the times I was going out a lot and being seen everywhere, I would have been in college. My brother, who is 18, and his friends go out to bars and stuff till whatever time. That's what you do in college. Mine was all in the public eye so it was magnified that much more.

"I've now learned my boundaries and I've been very good with cleaning house with people who I know didn't have my best intentions at heart. A lot of people in LA are very self destructive.

"Partying so hard simply isn't worth it. Life is worth living and there is so much to do and experience, it's wonderful."

Lindsay Lohan's Fashion Is A Disaster

Lindsay Lohan dismays fashion world with her recent participation on Paris Fashion Week for luxury label Ungaro.

Under the artistic advisement of 23 year-old LiLo, the house of Emmanuel Ungaro sends its models down the runway in glittery heart-shaped nipple pasties.

Unfortunately, the brightly-colored collection is deemed a fashion disaster. Critics say the collection is "an embarrassment" that look "cheesy and dated" with an "overworked" heart motif - a totally catastrophic "gaudy series of sartorial faux pas."

"When Lohan came out for a runway bow, her eyes were full of tears. And it's easy to see why," reports the Los Angeles Times. "After all the hullabaloo over her appointment a month ago, with some fashion insiders suggesting it was an insult to anyone who had ever really worked in design, it had to have been the walk of shame to end all."

Lindsay Lohan has been hired by Ungaro with a million-worth contract to infuse youthful sensibility to the the European fashion label (aside from generating publicity for the brand).

But with her artistic advisement causing dismay, analysts say it could signal a shift away from high end brands looking for creative input from celebrities. They believed that celebrities like Lindsay Lohan are better left as endorsers of brands rather than its creators.

"I think fashion should remain for the most part up to designers to create. We need more Marc Jacobs, Tom Fords, Stella McCartneys, Donatella Versaces, Karl Lagerfelds," says one fashion director.

Tyson Beckford Says Modeling Is Harder Than Lidsay Lohan Thinks

So this will make an update. Few days ago, we give you Tyson Beckford’s “breakout,” when he said that celebrities are not pretty enough to model. Two days after, we learned about Lindsay Lohan’s “yearning” to become a model. Well today, Tyson Beckford says modeling is harder than it looks especially for someone like Lindsay Lohan.

Tyson Beckford commented on Lindsay Lohan’s statement about how she would like to sign with IMG Models and do photo shoots as a model. The male supermodel believes that the modeling business is tougher than Lilo actually thinks.

“She (Lindsay) has the partying part down right. But I don’t think she’s got the focus. I mean, it requires a lot of focus and a lot of people think they can do it, but they really find that it’s a lot harder. Ask anyone - it’s a lot harder than it looks. I guess that’s why they call us supermodels - we make it look easy. But it’s not as easy as it looks, so I wish her all the best,” says the model and host of Bravo’s Make Me A Supermodel.

True. Tyson Beckford is speaking from his modeling experience when he shares that modeling is harder than it seems. But for Lindsay Lohan who needs to have some cash and cigarette breaks here and there, photo shoots may not be as harder as doing movies. For now, probably a modeling advice from Kate Moss is Lilo’s essential.

Lindsay Lohan Wants To Be A Model

Who wants to be a model? Lindsay Lohan does!

It’s been a long time since Lindsay Lohan starred in a movie or made cameo appearances on TV shows. Aside from her private affair with Samantha Ronson, there’s certainly not much talk about this former adorable child actor anymore.

In her recent interview with Nylon Magazine, Lindsay Lohan reveals that she’s not doing anymore projects and she’s running out of cash: “It’s scary when you realize, ‘Oh my God, I’m not working. And I have a house to pay for now.’… and there have been some things I’ve really wanted to do.”

That’s why some people say that the Mean Girls star is desperate when she tells OK! Magazine that she would love to be a model for no less than the top modeling agency IMG Models, rivaling the likes of Kate Moss, Tyra Banks, and Naomi Campbell.

“I love doing photo shoots. I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I’d do that… because that’s fun for me. That’s not work.”

Good thing Lindsay Lohan still has her luck. When IMG learned about the Razzie-awarded actress’ intentions of becoming a model, they responded with a nod. Ivan Bart, Senior Vice President of IMG Models, expressed her approval of Lindsay Lohan's plan saying, “She’s a beautiful girl and obviously knows a lot about fashion. Providing that she was contractually free, we would take a meeting.”

Modeling may just be a way for Lindsay Lohan to remain on the limelight now that acting offers are no longer coming her way and she cannot afford her current lifestyle. But in all fairness, Lindsay Lohan may not be as bad in modeling as she is in acting. She has done several fashion advertising campaigns, most recently with Fornarina. As a runway model though, well, she better start practicing her catwalk strut!

Ok, enough talking. Now let’s see if Lindsay Lohan has what is takes to be a model:
