Christiano Ronaldo Is The New Body Of Armani Underwear

Portuguese football player Christiano Ronaldo is the new model of Armani underwear and jeans for its new worldwide advertising campaign. This is according to Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani.

As an international soccer sensation, Christiano Ronaldo is dubbed as the "new official worldwide testimonial" for Armani. The 24 year-old hunky sportsman has played for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team.

Christiano Ronaldo's ads will start in spring-summer 2010. He will replace football superstar David Beckham who has also posed seductively for Emporio Armani Underwear campaigns last year. David Beckham, meanwhile, is developing his own line of men's underwear.

Mark your spring-summer 2010 calendar ladies because there will be lots of shirtless (and pantless) action for Christiano Ronaldo by that time!

Pinnochio Becomes A Real... Armani!

My, my, Pinocchio comes to reality not as a boy but as the 74-year old fashion designer, Giorgio Armani.

In the latest gimmick of PETA protesters, the Italian fashion designer's image was “photoshopped”to make his nose grow some 8 inches longer and resemble like that of the fictional boy Pinocchio. The image would obviously be interpreted as, “Giorgio Armani is a liar!”

PETA's accusation stemmed from the fashion designer's statement over the use of furs last year. He was quoted by TIME Magazine as saying, "I spoke with the people from PETA, and they showed me some materials that convinced me not to use fur."

However, PETA argued that Giorgio Armani was not true to his words because he still featured furs in his latest collections.

"To satisfy the whims of luxury, Armani is sentencing countless rabbits - one of the gentlest species - to a horrific life and a violent death in China, a country with no animal protection laws," PETA's Senior Vice President had said.

And so last Tuesday in San Francisco, PETA protesters rallied outside Giorgio Armani's store, carrying posters of the “Pinocchioed” fashion designer. They urged every Oscar nominee not to wear Georgio Armani's creations to the upcoming Academy Awards.

Poor Pinocchio...er, Armani!
