Claudia Schiffer Is 2010 "Model of the Year"

Model mom Claudia Schiffer, who's now expecting her third child, was named "Model of the Year" at the 2010 ELLE Style Awards.

Pregnancy did not stop the 39 years old German-born supermodel from looking fabulous. She received the award on Monday (February 22) in London wearing a loose fitting black jersey dress by Emma Cook, Miu Miu heeled booties and an Alexander McQueen clutch.

As this year's "Model of the Year," Claudia Schiffer has spoken about the biggest issue confronting the fashion industry today: "Should there be a ban on size zero models, following reports of many underweight models suffering from eating disorder problems?"

"No I don't think so, because I think models have always been thin, ever since I can look back anyway - I've never... no I don't think there has ever a moment where it's been any different.

"The most important thing is that they are healthy. There will always be an exception somewhere, within any profession, whether it's acting or singing. There will always be that one person that is unhealthy and doesn't eat anything and God knows what else they do.

"I mean, you should be able to spot that, if you are a company or a designer you should be able to say this one particular person is not healthy and maybe we shouldn't use her. But in general I think, you can be thin and be healthy, you can be bigger and be healthy as well, you know. It just depends."

As for her maternity style, the supermodel shares her tip through People's Celebrity Baby Blog:

"I'm not the sort of person who likes to wear tight clothes when I'm pregnant, but I'm not a fan of maternity dresses either, so my advice would be to get things a few sizes bigger and have them tailored to fit."

For her pregnancy beauty routine, Claudia Schiffer swears by a mixture of oils and creams for her ever-expanding belly and organic foods for maintaining her healthy glow.

"I do like to put a lot of cream on my tummy, as long it's natural. I think it really works to help stretch marks and make the skin really nice and soft. I use several! Balance Me oil is really good, Mama Mio has a thick buttery cream which is amazing and I also use this French organic oil too — I alternate them.

"During my first pregnancy, I started to eat organically and healthily because that was the first time I actually thought about what I was putting in my body. I'm still doing that today and I'm also just taking it easy, not working out too much, just enjoying this time in my life."

Claudia Schiffer has reached the peak of her supermodel status in the 1990s. She has been a Chanel muse and Karl Lagerfeld's personal favorite. She is one of the world's most successful models, appearing on over 500 magazine covers and an estimated net worth of $55m (£38m) by Forbes.

She is married to director/producer Matthew Vaughn and a mother to son Caspar, 7, and daughter Clementine, 5. She is expecting her third child in May.

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer Retires From The Catwalk

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer has revealed to Italian magazine Donna Materna that she will never strut on the runway again. The 39 year-old German beauty says:

"I am finished with the catwalk and I won't miss it. I continue to model and it's a lot of fun – but no more fashion shows."

Instead of gracing the catwalk, the 5'11" leggy model says she would love to be sitting on the front row and check out all the dresses. "I can sit on the side and view the outfits and see all the detail and that suits me fine. It's very enjoyable. I like my new viewpoint," she confesses.

As a supermodel, Claudia Schiffer is most popular in the 1990s. She is the iconic muse of Chanel and walks the runway alongside Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss. She has graced the covers of many fashion magazines and has also appeared in many films and commercials.

After being discovered from a Düsseldorf night club in 1987, Claudia Schiffer has already made an estimated £38million fortune. She has been modeling for almost 20 years but unlike Naomi Campbell, she insists she had enough of strutting.

With homes in London and Suffolk, Claudia Schiffer is now busy off the runway being a mother of two and still a face for many high-fashion campaigns. She says she's leading an "odd" life at the moment, which includes a planned trip to Iraq.

Supermodels Pose Without Makeup And Share Their Secrets

Eight iconic supermodels pose without makeup in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar.

Washing off their makeup and go au naturale for photographer Peter Lindbergh, they still look super gorgeous - Amber Valletta, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen, Shalom Harlow, Nadja Auermann, Tatjana Patitz, and Kristen McMenamy.

As expected, the supermodels have to share some of their beauty secret regiments while making us fret over their looks:

Amber Valleta, 35, says "I live in California, so I wear sunscreen every day, even if it's cloudy."

Cindy Crawford, 43, tells "Women forget to take care of their décolletage, and it shows their age." She also says that she uses products from her own skincare line to protect her chest and complexion. As for her hair, the hot momma shares "Your hair texture changes as you age; mine used to be a lot more smooth. I use Moroccanoil Treatment to keep it hydrated."

German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, 39, believes that cutting dairy out of diet will help the skin complexion stay healthy. "What I eat affects my skin. Anything that's heavy, like dairy or sweets breaks out my complexion and it doesn't look as fresh. When I stopped eating dairy, my skin looked nicer. Fresh carrot or apple juice and water with lemon and ginger help give my skin a healthy look," she says.

Helena Christensen, 40, tells "After I get the microdermabrasion and green-tea facial, my skin feels unbelievably soft and dewy." The supermodel gets her favorite services from Christine Chin Spa in New York City.

Meanwhile, Shalom Harlow, 35, confesses that her beauty recipe is just inside the fridge. "I love putting yogurt and egg whites on my face. It's so moisturizing and soothing."

For 38-year old Nadja Auerman, women look best when they are natural. "With makeup, I always find it better to concentrate on one part like your eyes or lips." However, her signature blonde hair still comes with a price. "I tried four or five colorist befor I found Mandy at Vidal Sassoon in Berlin. Without her, my life would be difficult."

Tatjana Patitz, 43, believes in aging gracefully. She still have anti-aging secret, nonetheless. "Microcurrent devices are actually really good because they stimulate the muscles, but I'm not a big fan of injectables. You don't know what they'll do to your face in the long run."

For 44-year old Kristen McMenamy, taking care of the skin is a beauty essential. "I'm like a greaseball everytime. The second my skin starts to feel dried out, I panic." Her moisturizer of choice is Nuxe Paris. "I have really sensitive skin but need something rich that won't make me break out." Aside from moisturizer, the Pennsylvania-born model is a fan of hot yoga. "It's amazing for your complexion. You sweat for an hour and half. Afterward, I shower and put on jojoba and sesame oils, while my skin is damp."

Even with few wrinkles here and there, these beautiful women are undeniably gorgeous without makeup and yeah, their natural looks are what make them "super."

But not all celebrities look as good sans makeup like these supermodels. Click here to find out who of these celebrities without makeup are only beautiful when they put cosmetics on!

Claudia Schiffer’s Breast-Inspired Bowl

Sip on supermodel Claudia Schiffer's breasts!

Karl Lagerfeld designed a bowl for champagne brand Dom Pérignon, taking inspiration from the breasts of famous German supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

Claudia Schiffer's breasts, I mean the bowl, sells for $3, 150 plus a bottle of 1995 Dom Pérignon Oenothèque. It comes with a stand of three porcelain replicas of Dom Pérignon and a platter bearing the signatures of the fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and her supermodel muse Claudia Schiffer.

Gorgeous, isn't it? But with the expensive amount, Claudia Schiffer’s breast-inspired bowl is just as high-priced as the supermodel herself. Of course, one example of what models can do to products associated with their names...
