Victoria's Secret Models Walk At Prada's High-Fashion Runway

Voluptuous lingerie supermodels of Victoria's Secret prove to us that boobs are not just their best assets as they project to make a smooth transition into high-fashion.

Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Doutzen Kroes three gorgeous women who have been excluded from the runways because they are "too big" walk in the Prada Fall-Winter 2010-2011 ready-to-wear fashion show at the Women's Fashion Week in Milan on Thursday.

Miuccia Prada has one thing in mind when these type of models were cast:

"It's normal clothes – the silhouette of the 90s, but using many different kinds of models who are much more womanly."

So there it goes. Despite the "uber sexiness" of these Victoria's Secret Angels, they still reflect the kind of bodies closer to regular women, that is, with breasts and bottoms.

Following the trend of replacing androgynous and emaciated models with fuller ones, Prada also tries to redefine "sexy" with a mixed collection of clothes that include winter coats, Mad Men style A-line dresses, lady-like skirt suits, and even odd-looking dress with lots of black and white frills around the chest.

"Our vision of what is sexy in women is getting narrower. It is all about bows and frills and clichés now. Women can't seem to give these clichés up. It's just my take on what's happening today. That's all," says the influential designer.

Meanwhile, Doutzen Kroes says she was happy to walk in the show and see "a change in more healthy looking women on the runway." The voluptuous model has previously told reporters that she rarely does runway shows she might have done so when she was "11 or 12" because she doesn't fit the current runway sample size.

Peek At The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will not air on television until December 1, but with the frenzy the annual show brings (especially from watching sexy models walking down the runway in lingerie), it is impossible to keep details away from the public until its airing on CBS next week.

Highlights of the show includes the big reveal of the Victoria's Secret Model Search finalists who catwalks along with the VS Angels, Heidi Klum who surprisingly walks down the runway instead of hosting the show as reported earlier, Chanel Iman strutting her sexy teen stuff as the newest girl on the block, and the hot number provided by Black Eyed Peas. The band features Fergie who equals the sexiness of the VS Angels with her slim body and super tight muscle toned thighs. Then of course, there's the tantalizing regular VS Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Marisa Miller, Doutzen Kroes, and Miranda Kerr.

For the spectacle, show stylist Charlotte Stockdale explains:

"We came up with the idea of this girl who lands from outer space in Paris. She gets on a train that comes to a halt in Pinkland, where pink girls get on and off. Then they go into this fairy-tale forest and little lady bugs and butterflies land on them and vines grow up on their clothes. Then, there's Tick-Tock Time; the wings in this section are based on clocks — there's one modeled after a pocket watch with metallic feathers. And she ends up in this regal realm of princess-ness, where the wings have Swarovski jewels and peacock feathers."

Two lucky girls from the VS model search have walked with the Angels during the fashion show, but only one of them will win a contract from the lingerie company. Since there's not much talk about them in the press, Victoria's Secret is probably keeping the details until the airing of the show on CBS next Tuesday.

Brüno On Marie Claire!

Brüno landed on the magazine cover of Marie Claire UK, with no less than the Victoria's Secret supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio.

Sacha Baron Cohen's Australian fashion reporter alter-ego "Brüno" (who recently made a fuss with his gag on MTV with Eminem) appeared on the July '09 cover of British Marie Claire.

"Fashion is ze most important und lifesaving of all ze sciences," Brüno told Marie Claire as he "gate-crashed" its exclusive photo shoot.

Brüno described his style as the "A–Z List of Fashion":

"H is for 'High-vaisted Jeans.' In terms of human tragedy on a mass scale, vy are zese not getting the attention zat Hurricane Katrina did? ...S is for 'September 11th, 2001.' Famous, of course, for being ze day on vich Oscar de la Renta reintroduced ze chambray peasant blouse..."

Aside from flashing his sense(less) of fashion, Brüno also made brutal comments on some of the most prominent people in the fashion industry.

On Naomi Campbell:
"She's amazing--20 years in ze business und all the pressure und fame hasn't changed her a bit. She's remained a total b****."

On Madonna:
"Little black child... thanks to Madonna... it's zis season's vardrobe essential."

On Pink:
"Just vatching him now on MTV. A great singer und so hunky."

On Amy Winehouse:
"...not too skinny, in fact, for ein junkie she is actually zehr fat."

On Anna Wintour:
"pre-op trannie"

Some find Brüno's gags funny while others find them insulting (especially of course by those whom he mocked on the magazine interview).

But there are also people who believe that Marie Claire is genius enough to feature Brüno as a fashion critic. After all, the fashion industry is way too serious that "maybe Brüno will be the catalyst that causes the industry to step back and laugh at itself."

A Model’s Life Features Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio

Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio launches her own reality web series called “A Model’s Life.”

The Victoria’s Secret angel and Armani Exchange beauty teams up with a film maker friend to capture Alessandra Ambrosio's life as a top-model. Using small pocket video cameras, the film follows the Brazilian model for a year of glamorous photo shoots and modeling projects to "catch Ale just being herself."

The first preview episode of A Model's Life features Alessandra Ambrosio on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Barts. The curvy supermodel takes a break on the last day of a photo shoot by testing the beautiful waters surrounding the island.

A Model’s Life will also feature many top models after Alessandra Ambrosio. For now, let us content ourselves with this beautiful Hispanic model as she explains what the new series is all about:

Alessandra Ambrosio Offers Reward To Find Buddha

Anyone knows where Buddha is? Brazilian Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio offers reward to find Buddha, her lost dog.

The Maltese terrier, Buddha, went missing recently and the supermodel was reportedly “devastated.” A large reward was offered to those who can help her find the dog.

To help Alessandra find her pampered pooch, her friend has even posted a reward notice online that says, “Alessandra Ambrosio’s 4 pound Maltese named Buddha got out and is lost. He is tie dyed (sic) blue and green and is lost please help in anyway possible. She loves her dog so much and there is a large reward if someone returns him. He was lost in Beverly Hills.”

For those who know the whereabouts of the dog Buddha, contact the supermodel by calling 310-396-4400 or email to Helpfindbuddha@gmail.com.

This might just be the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, especially for those who want to meet the lovely supermodel. Not only will the lucky fellow be receiving payoff as the supermodel herself, Alessandra Ambrosio, offers reward to find Buddha, s/he will also be able to make a great impression on the hot supermodel (*grins).
