Hugh Jackman Worries About "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"?

Hugh Jackman hit the red carpet yesterday for the Hollywood premiere of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," looking gorgeous as usual.


But beneath the dazzling presence, the Aussie actor is worried about how the Marvel Comics adventure film will be received. He has all the right to feel that way, though, - he's not only playing Wolverine for the fourth installment of the "X-Men" franchise, he's also one of the producers.

In an earlier press conference, Hugh Jackman admits "Everything I do, there's no less effort or desire that goes into every role. Every film has that sense for me as an actor, but obviously this movie has a different dimension particularly as a producer. I am more nervous about it because I feel that it's more personal to me. It's more my baby. I want people to come and have a great time."

Tut-tut, Hugh Jackman should better take it easy. Was not Wolverine the one who said "Trust me, I've been through worse"?

The new wave of rumors about Naomi Campbell's retirement has sparked after the British supermodel told a magazine that she will be scaling down catwalk shows to focus on motherhood:

"It'll be 25 years next year. In terms of fashion shows, I don't really see myself doing every show everywhere. I'm a woman and I'd like to be a mother one day."

Aside from the retirement rumor, Naomi is also said to be moving to Russia to live with Vladimir Doronin, her billionaire boyfriend.

Before the rumor makes a negative impact on her catwalk career, Naomi Campbell is once again forced to dismiss reports that she is retiring. Her spokesperson clarified, "She's absolutely not retiring from fashion. She loves what she does for a living and she's not planning to retire."

U.S. Court Upholds TV Profanity Crackdown!

Actors and TV personalities, better start avoiding the "F-word," "S-word," and other expletives. The U.S. Supreme Court has already upheld a U.S. government crackdown on profanity on television - subjecting broadcasters to fine for airing of any expletive on live TV show!


The policy against broadcast indecency has won victory on the U.S. court last Tuesday. It covered the use of "fleeting expletives," like the "F-word" and the "S-word" that denote "sexual or excretory activities."

The case was formed following the 2006 Federal Communications Commission decision that found News Corp's Fox Television Network guilty of violating decency rules when it aired expletives from Cher on 2002 Billboard Music Awards and Nicole Richie on the 2003 awards.

"Even when used as an expletive, the F-word's power to insult and offend derives from its sexual meaning," Justice Antonin Scalia has said while believing that the new policy is rational.

But while the FCC rejoices against the one-time use of profanity on live television, critics of the policy sees irony, saying:

"The FCC patrols the airwaves for words that have a tenuous link with sex and excrement while commercials during prime-time hours ask viewers if they are battling erectile dysfunction or are having trouble going to the bathroom."

Tyra Banks Will Testify Against Stalker

It's not anymore catwalk but courtroom fight for Supermodel Tyra Banks. She's set to testify against a stalker accused of following her around.


The model-turned TV personality will come face to face with her stalker, Brady Green, in a Manhattan courtroom. The man has been accused of following Tyra Banks from coast to coast since January last year.

Brady Green was arrested last month after reportedly trying to see the model in a fast food establishment near the Manhattan building where "The Tyra Banks Show" is taped. He was charged with stalking, harassment and criminal trespass. If convicted, he will face 90 days in jail.

Brady Green, however, denies stalking against the model saying:

"I know her. She knows me. We're good friends... We had a thing together. I sent her flowers. I sent her cards. Should I plead no contest? I've got satellites watching me and recording us."

Tyra Banks, for this matter, has to testify in court that she was alarmed and feared for her physical safety - the emotional distress serving as element of the criminal charges against his stalker.

While promoting for her latest film Obsessed, pop diva Beyonce speaks about how she would like to debut on Broadway as a stage actor, saying "It's my ideal job."

"I'll be able to go to the theater every day and drop my kids off and maybe make some food - maybe I'll know how to cook by then - and then go do what I love and have some normalcy and have a regular schedule... I definitely want to do Broadway."

Beyonce has been an accomplished singer at 27, being a Grammy winner with 50 million albums worldwide. She has also also done performances in screen musicals of which the most popular are "Cadillac Records" and "Dreamgirls." Her portrayed character in the latest flick is her first non-singing role.

On the silver screen, Beyonce does good for an actress. But on Broadway, she would likely make a superstar of stage acting given her strong presence and natural musical talent.

Well, it did offend the gay judge Perez Hilton, who might have chosen Miss California as a bet for the crown when he asked her the seemingly leading question: "Vermont recently became the 4th state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit. Why or why not?"

Victim of political incorrectness or not - Miss California also received a brutally "honest" opinion from the celebrity blogger who called her a "dumb bitch" on his attack video. Later, Perez Hilton says he takes back his apology for calling Carrie Prejean a dumb bitch but laughs and says that while he called her that epithet he was really thinking of the “c-word.”

Actress Mia Farrow, To Hunger Strike

Humanitarian actress Mia Farrow, 64, is planning to do hunger strike next week as protest against the genocide at Darfur, Sudan.

Mia Farrow was agitated to begin a hunger strike after the government of Sudan expelled international aid agencies from the country last month.

"On April 27 I will begin a fast of water only in solidarity with the people of Darfur and as a personal expression of outrage at a world that is somehow able to stand by and watch innocent men, women and children needlessly die of starvation, thirst and disease," says the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in a statement.

While the spokeman for Mia Farrow says that she will stick with her hunger strike as long as possible, the actress' doctors estimate a maximum of around three weeks for Mia Farrow to withstand the ordeal, given the aging actress' slim build.

Mia Farrow has appeared in more than forty films and won numerous awards as an actress. She is also a singer and former fashion model. As a human rights activist, she is one of Hollywood's most active Cause Celebs pushing their favorite charities and causes.

Brooke Shields, the 44-year old Hollywood actor and former Calvin Klein model, admits that her age is making it hard for her to land roles in Hollywood.

"There aren't a lot of movies out there for my age," says Brooke Shields. She would get excited to portray a character only to discover later that she's to play the mother of that "exciting" character.

It has been a long time, really - the gorgeous Brooke Shields was once the phenomenal 14-year old, youngest fashion model to appear on Vogue. In fact, her modeling career began when she was barely 11 months old (on Ivory Snow ads).

Now in her 40s, Brooke Shields is also starting to see ageism in advertising with many skin and beauty advertisements featuring way too young models.

Brooke Shields admits, "Sure, I wish I had the face I had a decade ago, but I don't. People say, 'I love my wrinkles.' I don't love my wrinkles come on!"

Brooke Shields sure doesn't love her wrinkles. Who would want wrinkles anyway? But when it comes to her lasting years in Hollywood, she has one thing to say:

"I'm proud of my longevity more than anything else. There's a lot to be said for endurance. I'm trying to find the beauty in the whole picture rather than the crows feet."

It is this optimism that makes Brooke Shields radiant despite aging in the public eye.

Appearing on the May 2009 cover, the British model reacts to folks who accused her of taking help from the magic of digital photo enhancement to look "soft" on the magazine:

"Yeah, I love the cover because it is the real me, I look just like it. Everyone that doesn't know me is saying "OMG Photoshop!" but its not, that's the real me. I love working with Steven (Meisel), he brings out the softer side of me and it is the real me. I am no punk like everyone says. As Tom Jones puts it - "im a lady". Wild girl, haha! Yeah, when it comes to shoots, people dress me as a punk so to show on the camera I change my personality so it shows I'm a punk in the camera."

Eliza Cummings likes her image on the cover so much - she keeps on telling that it was the real her (in the sense of a high fashion sophisticated model). Her modeling advice to interpret a more classic look on the runway and on the photoshoots is doing what needs to be done and not minding at all - "I do what ever is asked of me, I’m a model, I have to, this is my job. I can give different looks and I guess that’s why people like me."

Photographers Shot At Gisele Bündchen’s Second Wedding!

If you knew what the paparazzis had to go through just to take these shots, you wouldn’t complain why the images are blurred...


As supermodel Gisele Bündchen and sportsman Tom Brady privately celebrated their second wedding in Mal Pais, Costa Rica, two photographers tried to take shots of the private event by hiding in bushes near the beachfront home.

Unluckily, they were discovered by the security guards who ordered them to surrender their still photos and video of the wedding. When the photographers refused to surrender their “treasure” and tried to flee, the security guards pursued them (of course). Running towards a waiting SUV, the photographers were shot. “The bullet shattered the Suzuki's rear window, passed between the two men in the front seat and bounced off the windshield,” says the report. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The photographers were identified as Yuri Cortez and Rolando Aviles, veteran paparazzis hired by INF Daily to capture photographs of Gisele Bündchen’s wedding party. According to these photographers, they had permission from Gisele's neighbor in Santa Teresa to shoot the wedding ceremony from about 300 feet away. They were, however, incautious of being busted or shot.

Yuri Cortez shares "I couldn't believe it when I realized what they had done. I could have lost my life for the sake of some pictures that Gisele didn't want published. Are they insane?"

Rolando Aviles also has his story: "The bullet went between us, missing our heads. If the bullet been a little more to the left or right, it would have killed one of us. I said, 'They're going to kill us,' and that's when I hunched down to cover myself. When the glass broke, that's when my friend started driving really fast. I thought this was going to be my last job."

Thanks to the gunshots fired at Gisele Bündchen’s villa, the supposedly secret festivity has become the talk of the town. The prank show features supermodel and Project Runway host Heidi Klum working at the counter of a pizza shop, Jessica Simpson as an employee of a computer repair store, Survivor host Jeff Probst as the one running the cash register of a grocery store, rapper Ice-T becoming a shoe salesman, singer LeAnn Rimes working as a waitress at a Nashville diner, and host of Extra and Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew Mario Lopez selling hot dogs at a vending stand in New York City's Central Park.

Working ordinary jobs, these celebrities confuse customers who can't decide if it's the actual celebrity or an astonishing look-alike. When people confront them about being famous, they deny their true identity until everything becomes hilarious.

"I didn't wear makeup and I had my hair in a bun with a pencil in it. I got to be the pizza girl. I got to be someone I am normally not. I was quite rude to people. I would bite their pizza and give it to them. I would drop the dough on the floor, pick it up and use it,” Heidi Klum shares her experience.

Cloris Leachman For PETA

Emmy-awarded actress Cloris Leachman was the latest model of PETA. Her ad was unveiled yesterday in New York Times Square. Dressed in gown made from leaves of red and green cabbage, her PETA ad reads, "Let Vegetarianism Grow On You."


Aside from being a multi-talented actress for stage, film, and television, Cloris Leachman is also a contestant on the seventh season of the hit ABC reality show "Dancing With The Stars." She has been the oldest contestant to date, hitting the dance floor at the triumphant age of 82.

Cloris Leachman is the role model of graceful aging through vegetarian diet. PETA sees Cloris as an example of "how gracefully humans age once they omit meat from their daily diet."

The 82-year old actress who was made famous for her role as Phyllis Lindstrom in the 1970s TV Series "Mary Tyler Moore Show" has been a vegetarian for nearly 50 years.

“I felt a million times better, and I’ve never had a bite of meat ever since then,” Cloris Leachman proudly says.
