Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez Wins Miss Universe 2009

For the second time in a row, a Venezuelan beauty takes home the Miss Universe crown from the pageant that has been held on Sunday night (August 23) in Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas. Stefania Fernandez, 18 years old, receives the Miss Universe 2009 title from last year's Dayana Mendoza.
As Miss Universe 2009, the teen beauty queen Stefania Fernandez gets to live in a New York City apartment and will receive living expenses during her one-year reign, as well as professional representation by the Miss Universe Organization to further her personal and professional goals. She has also been granted a two-year scholarship at the New York Film Academy worth more than $100,000 dollars, a 6-day/5-night vacation for two in the island of Bahamas that includes travel accommodation, as well as wardrobe collection of evening wear, swimsuits, and shoes.

Completing the top five contestants are fourth runner-up Miss Australia Rachael Finch and fifth runner-up Miss Puerto Rico Mayra Matos Perez.
