Liskula Cohen Wins Google Battle

Seven months ago, we have posted a blog about how Liskula Cohen sued Google for defamation when hateful words about her were published on Blogger. She has asked a court order that forced the company to identify the anonymous user who made the blog.

Now the Canadian model has a new achievement to add to her credentials - she wins the court battle against Google.

As have been reported earlier, Liskula Cohen sued Google when an anonymous blogger tried to ruin her reputation. The blog has described the 36 year-old model as "skanky," "an old hag," "ho," "whoring," and "desperate '40-something' who may have been hot 10 years ago. Desperation seeps from her soul, if she even has one."

These hateful words have not been taken lightly by the 5'10" beauty. Concerned about her image as a model who endorses products from top clients and companies, Liskula Cohen has brought the matter to the court in the hope that Google (reluctant to name the anonymous blogger) would be forced to reveal the writer's identity.

After winning her courtroom battle, Google has turned over to Liskula Cohen the IP address of the hater-blogger who turned out to be an acquaintance of the model. According to her, the anonymous blogger was a woman whom she has not seen in about a year but a regular fixture at dinners and parties. Identifying the identity of her detractor, Liskula Cohen has one thing to be grateful - the hater was someone not close to her.

Liskula Cohen serves as an inspiration of models and celebrities who just want to do best in their crafts but are being constantly picked-on by haters.

"Why should anybody let it go? If somebody attacks somebody on the street, you're not going to let it go … why should I just ignore it? I couldn't find one reason to ignore it," says the defiant Liskula Cohen to Good Morning America.

I would like to see Web application developers implement an additional layer of poor impulse control into every "submit comment" button found online. It would go something like this:

1. Click submit
2. Pop-up: "Is what you are saying nice, necessary and truthful,? If it is true, but not nice, will it be generally beneficial to those who read it?"
3. Click yes (or "no, let me start over")
4. If yes, Pop-up: "are you sure? Did you take your happy pills today? Have you had your coffee? Would your mum let you post this? …..This is your last chance!"
5. Click yes (or "no, let me start over")
