Browser Beware: The Most Dangerous Celebrities On The Internet!

Internet security company McAfee Inc. has released this year's list of the most dangerous celebrities on the internet - those that when searched through their popular names return with links to sites infected with spywares, viruses, spams, phishing, and other malicious softwares (malwares).

Unfortunately for Jessica Biel fans, the vamp actress leads the survey. McAfee says that searches for "Jessica Biel," "Jessica Biel photos," "Jessica Biel videos" and "Jessica Biel screen savers" have a one in five chance of landing at a website tested positive for online threats.

Beyonce ranks number two on the survey. Putting "Beyonce ringtones" into a search engine has yielded a dangerous website linking to a distributor of adware and spyware.

Jennifer Aniston is on the third spot, with more than 40 percent of the Google search results for "Jennifer Aniston screensavers" containing nasty viruses.

Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale, and Lindsay Lohan lead the list of most dangerous young celebrities, which also include Twilight stars Kristine Stewart (20th) and Robert Pattinson (30th), as well as Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Lauren Conrad, Vanessa Hudgens, and Zac Efron.

According to McAfee, web searches for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are still relatively safe - they are on the 34th and 39th spots.

See the list of 15 most dangerous celebrities below:

1. Jessica Biel
2. Beyonce
3. Jennifer Aniston
4. Tom Brady
5. Jessica Simpson
6. Gisele Bundchen
7. Miley Cyrus
8. Angelina Jolie; Megan Fox
9. Ashley Tisdale
10. Brad Pitt
11. Reese Witherspoon
12. Britney Spears
13. Rihanna
14. Lindsay Lohan
15. Kim Kardashian

This is the third year that McAfee consecutively surveys A-list celebrities who are riskiest to tract on the internet. Brad Pitt has topped last year's most dangerous celebrities while Paris Hilton has led the survey in 2007.

The way that Jeff Green, Senior Vice President of McAfee Avert Labs, sees it:

"Cybercriminals are star watchers too - they latch onto popular celebrities to encourage the download of malicious software in disguise. Consumers' obsession with celebrity news and culture is harmless in theory, but one bad download can cause a lot of damage to a computer."

Obviously, the most dangerous stars are also those who are most popular today. That being said, celebrity news and controversies surrounding Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Paris Hilton may have dwindled this year.

Being included in the list of most dangerous celebrities on the internet is not that bad after all - it assures stars they are famous (or at least to the majority of online surfers).
