Michael Jackson's Memorial Service
Michael Jackson's memorial service yesterday at the Staples Center was heart-breaking and a glittering celebration all at the same time. Tributes flooded for his farewell, and so did many top Hollywood celebrities who made the event star-studded and a global happening witnessed by millions of the King of Pop's fans around the world.
The two-hour celebration began with a private service at around 8:00 am in Forest Lawn mortuary in the Hollywood Hills. A motorcade procession then followed, with the singer's golden-plated casket being hovered by 20 media helicopters overhead while heading to the Staples Center where Michael Jackson's family, friends, celebrities, and ordinary fans gathered together to bid goodbye to the singer in his final curtain call.
Tears and eulogies then followed. But the most-heartbreaking was the message of Michael Jackson's 11-year old daughter Paris Michael who addressed the singer in a name that he was not quiet popular of, "Daddy."
"I just wanted to say... Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say I love him so much!"
