Brooke Shields Hates Wrinkles But Loves Longevity

Brooke Shields, the 44-year old Hollywood actor and former Calvin Klein model, admits that her age is making it hard for her to land roles in Hollywood.

"There aren't a lot of movies out there for my age," says Brooke Shields. She would get excited to portray a character only to discover later that she's to play the mother of that "exciting" character.

It has been a long time, really - the gorgeous Brooke Shields was once the phenomenal 14-year old, youngest fashion model to appear on Vogue. In fact, her modeling career began when she was barely 11 months old (on Ivory Snow ads).

Now in her 40s, Brooke Shields is also starting to see ageism in advertising with many skin and beauty advertisements featuring way too young models.

Brooke Shields admits, "Sure, I wish I had the face I had a decade ago, but I don't. People say, 'I love my wrinkles.' I don't love my wrinkles come on!"

Brooke Shields sure doesn't love her wrinkles. Who would want wrinkles anyway? But when it comes to her lasting years in Hollywood, she has one thing to say:

"I'm proud of my longevity more than anything else. There's a lot to be said for endurance. I'm trying to find the beauty in the whole picture rather than the crows feet."

It is this optimism that makes Brooke Shields radiant despite aging in the public eye.
