Elle MacPherson And The Women’s World Awards 2009

The 4th Annual Women’s World Awards was held last Thursday in Vienna, Australia. It was attended by international stars and successful women who have become inspiration in their chosen fields. Among the array of inspirational women, there’s the 44-year old former supermodel Elle MacPherson, glorious in one-shouldered Roberto Cavalli green gown and gold accessories.

Elle MacPherson is Austria’s very own. As an Aussie supermodel, she is renowned for her beauty, ideal measurements, and entrepreneurial skills. She is also an actress, businesswoman and philanthropist.

Aside from the supermodel, ten other amazing women also received the prestigious Women’s World Awards for 2009 – the Italian actress Monica Bellucci who became popular in her role on Matrix series and The Passion of Christ, the young American pop superstars Anastacia and Kelly Clarkson, Israel's gorgeous supermodel Bar Refaeli, the Italian fashion trendsetter Angela Missoni, the award-winning English singer/songwriter/actress/diarist Marianne Faithfull, Tunisian cinema legend Claudia Cardinale, chairwoman of Carlson Group and one of the most powerful women in the world Marilyn Carlson Nelson, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Betty Williams, the sociologist from Rwanda Esther Mujawajo-Keiner, and the 10-year old girl from Yemen Nujoud Ali who successfully win a court battle to divorce her 30-year old husband whom she was forced to marry.
