Pinup Model Bettie Page Dies At 85
Bettie Page became the iconic model in the 60s, an era when voluptuous women thrived the world of modeling as beauty and sex symbols. She was best remembered for controversial sadomasochistic poses. Her appearance in magazine photographs in underwear or nude have became favorite posters on military barracks and garages.
"She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality. She is the embodiment of beauty," says her agent Mark Roesler.
For one, pinup model Bettie Page will be remembered in the history of fashion modeling because she has greatly contributed to the sexual revolution of the 1960s. But of course, nobody could have been proud of her modeling career more than her loyal talent agent.
