Kelly Knox Wins Britain's Missing Top Model
Kelly Knox triumphed through six weeks of modeling tests from fellow contestants with disabilities ranging from deaf to brain injury. She earned a modeling contract with Take 2 Model Management plus a magazine photoshoot for UK's top magazine Marie Claire.Always feeling beautiful despite her disability, Kelly Knox bravely reached out for her dream and succeeded as she said, “In my household we don't use the word disabled. Never have done, never will do. I don't feel disabled but society will label me as being disabled.”
Marie Claire was also supportive for disabled models like Kelly Knox as its editor Marie O'Riordan commented, "To get disability discussed on the sofas throughout the land is no mean feat and using a popular format of a reality show was a clever way of seducing viewers into a more complex world. We hope this does pave the way for girls with disabilities to get into modeling in the future."
So hopefully, Kelly Knox will also win the hearts of people in the modeling industry, just as she won Britain's Missing Top Model.
