How Much Can A Model Earn?

Top Modeling Question: How Much Can A Model Earn In A Day?
So, you've posted your modeling portfolio and instantly attracted casting agents for a professional modeling work. Got any idea how much you can earn with the once-in-a lifetime opportunity that you just opened on the door?
Aaron Marcus, famed author of the book, “How to Become a Successful Commercial Model,” provided answer for the top question that perpetually haunted neophyte models.
According to him, modeling payment vary a great deal. In New York City for example, a model can earn up to $250 an hour, or $2,000 for an 8-hour full day booking. In Washington, DC/Baltimore commercial models is usually paid for $125 to $150 hour.
There is a price to pay, however. Models receive bonuses for high-exposure format jobs like posing on billboards and posters. This is because a model who poses for a billboard commercial is expected to lose other bookings especially those coming from rival companies. Moreover, s/he will also lose other modeling opportunities due to over-exposure.
But if the price is right, there's more to gain for the model who takes the risk. A Gilette endorser from L.A. Models, for instance, was negotiated a $300,000 print booking. Aside from this, the model also receives different payment for his commercial on TV.
