Disney Channel and It's a Laugh Productions are casting for the new series pilot episode of the show "Smart Alec." Shooting starts mid-November, 2009.
Synopsis:
A geeky teenager blossoms over the summer and now that she fits in with the popular crowd she tries to convince them that being smart isn't bad while trying to convince the geeks that you being pretty doesn't make you stupid.
SEEKING:
1.) FEMALE TEEN (13-15; any ethnicity) - ALECIA "ALEC" MICHEALS. Teen Female who can play 8th-9th grade. Must be able to go from typical geek, braces, glasses, bad hair style, to beautiful "in-crowd" type. LEAD;
2.) MALES & FEMALES (all ages; any ethnicity) - EXTRAS. Several other roles are also being cast both male and female students, as well as teachers and extras.
