Casting company is seeking SAG and Non Union Talent for paid extra work in the feature film "Moneyball," starring Brad Pitt, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Jonah Hill.
The film will be shooting mostly night shoots July 26-August 5 in Oakland.
Movie shoots are long, lasting 12 hours or more. 8 of the 10 shoot days are Night Shoots, starting late afternoon or evening and going into early morning hours, i.e. 6pm-6am. (Saying you are available means no time conflicts!) Exact start time is unknown until the day before each shoot day.
Non Union Extras are paid the minimum wage of the city being filmed in. Oakland min wage is $8.00/hr = $64.00 for 8 hours and overtime at time and 1/2 thereafter. SAG members are paid the scale background rate. Rates are determined and paid by Production, not the casting company.
SEEKING:
MALES & FEMALES (18+; any ethnicity) - EXTRAS. SAG and Non-Union. All must be local to SF Bay Area.
Most will portray Oakland A's fans, some will be Reporters, Photographers Camera Operators, etc. If you are a true die-hard Athletics fan with A's paraphernalia please note it in your submission! Roles such as Bat Boys (18 to look younger), Players' Wives, A's Staffers/Executives etc. may be more featured and will be selected from digital photos by production.
