Atlantic Theater Company opens Equity Principal Auditions for play "Oohrah!" 1st rehearsal: August 4, 2009. Runs September 1 – October 4.

SEEKING:
1.) MALE (early 20s; Caucasian) - CHIP. Earnest, attractive, driven and dreams of becoming a Marine. He doesn’t want anything else in the world, and is loyal to his country like a puppy dog. He is asthmatic, which keeps him from serving and chips away at his confidence;
2.) MALE (mid 30s; Caucasian) - RON. Southern. US Army captain; a stoic man of few words. Out of work since returning home from Iraq. Attempts to continue on as a father and a husband, which he hasn’t done in awhile. Thrives on routine;
3.) MALE (mid 20s; Caucasian) - CHRISTOPHER. Man-child who means well. Really good at video games. A softie who is unlikely to stand up for himself, though he is a security guard. Loves Abby deeply and truly;
4.) FEMALE (mid 20s; Caucasian) - ABBY. Southern. Stewardess; doesn’t want to settle with her fiancé Christopher. She is hungry for something else, particularly if it’s mysterious and / or dangerous. Enchanted with the idea of travel and adventure;
5.) FEMALE (mid 30s; Caucasian) - SARA. Southern. Pretty, feminine; former beauty queen. Aspires to have the perfect family with the perfect house, and she’s tired of waiting around for it. Mother of Lacey, wife of Ron;
6.) FEMALE (18-early 20s; Caucasian) - LACEY. To play 14. Lacey is the daughter of Sara and Ron. Tomboy; dreams of becoming a Marine. Shoots a gun like a pro. Does not take after her feminine mom – and doesn’t care;
7.) MALE (70s; Caucasian) - POP POP. Suffers from dementia. His clearest memories are of the war and of his late wife;
