Act In Series Of Comedic Films "Anti-Matter"

5Rings Media is casting "Anti-Matter," a series of short, comedic films about the idiosyncratic staff of a New York City comic book shop and the even more idiosyncratic customers they serve on a daily basis.

Production will begin in late November/early December. Shooting will take place in Manhattan at Jim Hanley's Universe.

Casting comedic actors for lead roles. Improv and sketch comedy skills are welcome but not necessary.

This is a non-pay/non-union project. All actors will be provided a DVD of the finished shorts, a set of high-res digital stills and, if needed, an MPEG-4 of the finished short films.

ANTI-MATTER STAFF

1.) MALE (22-25; any ethnicity) - MIKE. Store Manager. Sarcastic, smart, a little up tight, frustrated romantic, wishes the world was more logical, tries to do the right thing, lives by a hero's code;

2.) MALE (22-25; any ethnicity) - DENNIS. Store Clerk. Irritable, jaded, prideful, an aspiring comic book artist that wants to get a job in comics so he can stop working at the store;

3.) FEMALE (22-25; any ethnicity) - GINGER. Store Clerk. Funny, shy, blunt, feels like the world owes her something for making her so smart but not giving her any real opportunities to use it;

4.) MALE (35-40; any ethnicity) - CARL. Store Manager. In his on world, full of weird advice. He's the oldest employee of the store;

5.) MALE (25-27; any ethnicity) - JEREMY. Customer. Hyper, crude, horn dog. He's a big lummox who's lack of social graces makes for funny situations. He's a finance guy, who's recently gotten back into comics;

6.) FEMALE (23-25; any ethnicity) - KAITLIN. Customer. A real word hot girl who's into comics. She likes hanging out at the store and trying to fit in. The regulars are curious as to why she hangs out at the store instead of other places;

7.) MALE (21-24; any ethnicity) - BERNARD. Customer. Geek Chic tech guy, who's always on top of the latest trends and always has a crazy plan for any problem;

8.) MALE (18-21; any ethnicity) - TAYLOR. Customer. Know it All, Wunderkind, very, very into comics, looks up to the other regulars as his heroes;

9.) FEMALE (21-23; any ethnicity) - MACKENZIE. Customer. Energetic, witty, candid, a bit of a tomboy. She loves hanging out and talking comics for hours on end.
