African-American Actors Wanted For Short Film "Tugboat Dad"
Milled Iron Entertainment is holding Casting Call in Dallas, Texas for the independent short film "Tugboat Dad." Start Date: June 2010. Meals provided.
Synopsis:
Tugboat Dad is about the relationship between an African-American father and his son and how handle issues over the years.
SEEKING:
1.) FEMALE (25-35; African-American) - SANDRA. A loving mother and wife, who understands her husband's internal self and bridges the gap to keep the father's relationship with his young son;
2.) 2 MALE CHILDREN (7-9; African-American) - JJ and RICKY. One boy who is struggling to understand his father and thinks his father doesn't love him and the other boy is grieving and asking for his father's knowledge;
3.) MALE TEEN (13-16; African-American) - OLDER JJ. Trying to fit into society in what he thinks will make him a man and needing his father to acknowledge him;
4.) MALE (30-40; African-American) - JOHN. A very internal man, whose trials and tribulations in his own life has led him to distance himself from those he loves, not intentionally, and the wisdom he shares with his son;
5.) MALE (mid 20s; African-American) - RICHARD. Loves life, his family, those closest to him. He's extremely proud of his brother;
6.) FEMALE (mid 20s; African-American) - MONICA. Best friend and confidant;
