Liberty Studios, Inc. (producer) is casting the feature film The Glass House.
SEEKING:
MALE (mid-20s; Jewish) - ELEK COHEN. Caught in Hungary in 1944 when the Nazis invade, repeatedly risks his life to bring other Jews to safety, LEAD;
MALE (mid-20s) - FERENC JACOBSON. Jewish. Elek’s best friend in Hungary, sees his world destroyed when the Nazis invade Hungary, sent to a labor camp along with Elek, escapes with his friend, is in a state of perpetual fear, desperate to evade recapture, LEAD;
MALE (50s) - JOZSEF JUHASZI. Hungarian Jew, owner of a radio repair shop, employer of Elek and Ferenc, a good man, lives in the Jewish ghetto in an apartment with 60 other Jewish refugees, afraid that the Nazis might scoop them up at any minute, takes refuge in the “Glass House,” LEAD;
FEMALE (early 20s) - MAIROV SCHOEN. Hungarian Jew. Living in Budapest with her family, rescued from the hands of the SS by Elek, LEAD;
MALE (late 30s) - COLONEL ADOLF EICHMANN. Thin, precise, with eyes as black as his wire-framed spectacles, the SS Colonel in charge of implementing the Final Solution in Hungary, LEAD;
MALE (50s) - MIKLOS SCHOEN. Mairov’s uncle, intent on saving lives with diplomacy instead of guns, grows increasingly worried as Elek opts to take a more dangerous and confrontational path in dealing with the Nazi menace, LEAD;
MALE (20s) - LIEUTENANT KRIEGER. Tall, blond, imposing, one of the Nazi SS members assigned to Hungary, intent on following out Eichmann’s orders, LEAD;
FEMALE (early 20s) - MARKETA. Hungarian Catholic, dark hair, close friend of Mairov, studying to be a nun, joins a convent and assists Mairov in hiding Jewish refugees;
MALE (60s) - RABBI ELI COHEN. Elek’s father, the spiritual leader of his Hungarian village, counsels patience in dealing with the Nazis;
MALE (50s) - MR. BALACZ. Gentile man in Elek’s village, a Jewish sympathizer, tries to convince Rabbi Cohen to flee the country with his flock, later tries to help Elek and Ference to escape the oncoming Nazis.
