Full service independent production company is casting Actors for a short film project with the British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust.
Compensation: Copy of film supplied, showreel material, food provided/allowance (expenses), travel provided/allowance (expenses), invite to screening, wrap party, regular updates about film's progress, food provided/allowance (expenses), contract (formal confirmation of agreement), insurance
SEEKING:
1.) MALE (20-28; Asian) - AQIB. Zarah's older brother. He is also able to sign in British Sign Language so as to communicate with his sister. He responds aggressively when he sees his younger sister being bullied. 2 days - Exp;
2.) MALE (40-50; Asian) - MR. SHAH. Zarah's father. He has learned to sign in BSL in order to speak to communicate with his daughter. He helps his children through a difficult period in their lives following 911. 2 days - Exp;
3.) MALE (28-50; any ethnicity) - MR. WILSON. The main character. Zarah's school teacher. 1 day - Exp;
4.) FEMALE (18-25; Asian) - NEELAM. Can sign in British Sign Language to play the cousin of the main character Zarah. Neelam is a good friend to Zarah through her tribulations. 1 day - Exp;
5.) FEMALE (18-24; Asian) - ZARAH. A deaf Asian girl who is isolated because of her disability and feels the negativity increase towards her when the 911 attacks occur. 2 days - Exp
