An independent filmmaker is casting for a short film to be shot at the end of February, beginning of March. Non-Union.

He is looking for a variety of roles for a six-page short film taking place in and around the New York area.

1.) MALE (50-60; any ethnicity) - X. An old homeless man with a scruffy beard who mumbles to himself. (He has no lines so production is looking for a great non-verbal actor);

2.) FEMALE (50-60; any ethnicity) - NUN;

3.) MALE (40s-50s; Hispanic) - CHARLIE. A middle-aged, annoyed with his job, Hispanic man working for the Salvation Army coat drive;

4.) MALE (20s; Caucasian) - DAVE. Charlie's White twenty-something partner;

5.) 2 FEMALES (all ages; any ethnicity) - MOTHER-AND-DAUGHTER. A well-off mother-and-daughter combo shopping for Christmas gifts;

6.) MALE (40-50; any ethnicity) - DEREK. A homeless Vietnam vet who is slightly psychotic, looking for a friend;

7.) MALE (20s; Chinese) - CHINESE FRY COOK. Disgruntled fry cook wise beyond his years. (Must speak Mandarin Chinese)
